Education has a main roll in the development process and in particular in fighting poverty.  If we understand by development the definition that United Nations gives, a process that broadens the opportunities for people.  The key role of education in development is that education reduces inequalities, gives voice and transmits social models for change, gives opportunities to improve quality of life, defends and promotes the person’s dignity, offers opportunities for social participation, allows to enjoy culture and the exchange with different cultures, and builds a different world more just and equal.  Today education is conceived as life long process destined for learning abilities to develop a worthy life.
